Public Health: The Role of the Pharmacy

The proposed roundtable discussion is based on the insights of the OFFISHIFT think tank, established in March 2025, a nonprofit organization run and led by volunteers. It analyzes the limitations of the current community pharmacy model and paves the way for innovative and concrete proposals aimed at overhauling the pharmacy practice model in order to ensure the sustainability of community pharmacies and to continue—and even enhance—their public health mission.

  • Analyze the current limitations of the pharmacy model
  • Understanding and anticipating patients' evolving needs
  • Examining the role of the pharmacy model in relation to the government
  • Propose concrete innovative approaches to overhauling the pharmacy business model
