Pharmacists & mRNA: Building the Future
Messenger RNA (mRNA) technology has emerged as a major platform in vaccine development, accounting for nearly half of all vaccine candidates currently in development.
The Moderna platform combines mRNA engineering, lipid nanoparticles, and innovative manufacturing processes, enabling rapid and flexible development.
Today, the pipeline covers infectious diseases, rare diseases, and, above all, immuno-oncology, with approaches that can be personalized. In oncology, the goal is to usher in a new era of precision medicine, where mRNA innovations and liquid biopsies could transform the care pathway, including in community pharmacies.
From the very beginning, Moderna’s R&D team has always prioritized staying closely attuned to the needs of healthcare professionals—particularly pharmacists—with a constant focus on simplification, streamlining processes, and making implementation in real-world settings easier.
