With the widespread adoption of the Osys system—which is designed to guide patients visiting the pharmacy for specific health issues—the implementation of collaboration protocols between pharmacists and physicians, and discussions regarding the right to prescribe medications currently subject to a prescription, the pharmacy is increasingly establishing itself as a key player in primary care. This roundtable discussion aims to explore these developments—their opportunities as well as their limitations—to understand how far pharmacists can—and should—go in guiding and caring for patients.
