For its first appearance at PharmagoraPlus, TOTEM nature invites pharmacy professionals to discover a different approach to fragrance and incense: French, plant-based, sophisticated, and resolutely contemporary.

TOTEM nature is a plant-based brand founded in 2021 by Joséphine, a graduate of the École des Arts Décoratifs. Inspired by her passion for art, fragrance, nature, and harmony, she reinterprets an age-old tradition by returning to the very origin of the word “perfume”: from the Latin per fumum, “through smoke.”

Before it became a liquid, perfume was smoke: the smoke of precious plants that were burned to scent the air, purify, and accompany ancestral rituals. This represents a return to our origins—a fertile source that connects us to our roots and helps us rediscover our purpose.

 

The sage bundle, reinvented in a French style

It is from this heritage that TOTEM nature draws its uniqueness. In contrast to traditional California sage smudge sticks, the brand has created its “ French-Style Flower Arrangements "": authentic botanical and olfactory compositions, both wild and refined, crafted " made by hand and with care from our crops and our land ".

Each creation has its own distinctive scent and combines beauty, fragrance, and pleasure with the ancient art of incense burning. As they burn, the plants release their scents, infusing the space with a new character and a sense of well-being.

The same standard applies to TOTEM Nature incense . Made from 100% plants with no additives, they are custom-designed and burn on their own.

TOTEM nature designs are Designed and manufactured in France, made from biodynamically grown plants or wild-harvested plants from certified organic sites.

Plants, flowers, and woods are selected for their quality of growth and harvested in harmony with nature’s rhythms and their ecosystems. This “well-grown and well-harvested” approach—essential to the House as the cornerstone of its quality—contributes to the intensity and olfactory richness of each composition.

Already present in iconic venues linked to nature, heritage, and well-being—from the Toulouse Museum to gatherings of plant enthusiasts in Chantilly—TOTEM nature has naturally found its place among plant experts, notably at the Herboristerie du Palais Royal and La Pharmacie du Bien-Être in Vincennes. Its arrival at PharmagoraPlus continues this story and reaffirms its mission: to bring a new French approach to fumigation—one that is unique, aesthetically pleasing, and accessible—to pharmacies.
