The health crisis is once again affecting access to local healthcare, and the backlog at doctors’ offices continues to grow. TESSAN, a MedTech startup, is doing everything it can to address the lack of access to care. 

By equipping pharmacies with connected medical devices, TESSAN is helping to combat the shortage of healthcare providers. Patients can now consult a general practitioner in less than 15 minutes from the pharmacy nearest their home, thanks to an augmented telemedicine kiosk or booth.

The TESSAN connected medical device, located close to residents in the community, allows patients to have a telemedicine consultation with a general practitioner. Thanks to the seven connected medical devices installed within the system, the remote physician can perform nearly 90% of the procedures involved in a standard in-person consultation. In less than 15 minutes, patients can now have a telemedicine consultation near their home, at no cost to them.

Recently, TESSAN has also begun offering patients the option to consult remotely with healthcare professionals in high-demand specialties, such as pediatricians, dermatologists, gastroenterologists, ENT specialists, and homeopaths.
