The Union of Community Pharmacists (USPO) is one of two unions representing the profession of community pharmacists. For over 20 years, it has defended their interests on a daily basis, while promoting innovation and the evolution of community pharmacy roles. On the occasion of PharmagoraPlus 2025, the USPO reaffirms its central role and invites all pharmacy professionals to discuss the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing sector.

The USPO's mission is centered on four key areas:

 

• To represent community pharmacists in dealings with government authorities in order to defend their rights and highlight their role in the patient care continuum.
• Promote new roles for pharmacies, such as vaccination, prevention, screening, and support throughout the life span, in order to meet growing public health needs.
• Support access to local healthcare by strengthening the role of pharmacies as the first point of contact for patients.
• Supporting economic changes within a constrained financial context and with a focus on the appropriate use of medications

As a long-standing institutional partner, the USPO will play a central role at PharmagoraPlus 2025, sharing its expertise and initiatives at this year’s flagship event for pharmacy professionals!

The union will participate in several panel discussions, and Pierre-Olivier Variot, president of the USPO, is also a member of the jury for the 2025 Pharmacy Awards, which recognize innovative initiatives by pharmacists, pharmacy teams, and students. The awards ceremony, scheduled for March 9, 2025, will be a highlight of the trade show.
