ATOMISOR®: 70 years of French-made nebulization

ATOMISOR®: 70 years of French-made nebulization

About Us

In the early 1950s, in its historic home in Saint-Étienne (42), DTF Medical developed France’s first aerosol generators and nebulizers to meet the needs of doctors from the Saint-Étienne Mining Corps who were treating silicosis (a miner’s disease caused by silica particles settling deep within the alveoli of the lungs).

Since then, DTF Medical has been offering, under its ATOMISOR® brand, a wide range of aerosol therapy devices for the treatment of bronchopulmonary, rhinosinusitis, and eustachian tube disorders.

For over 70 years, and now in its third generation, the company is still run by the two founding families and continues to manufacture atomization systems in France.

3 pneumatic nebulizer systems for 3 targeted treatments, available for rent from healthcare professionals

AtomizerThe pneumatic atomization system AERODJINN+ (or AJ+) allows for a rapid and effective treatment of bronchopulmonary conditions (asthma, COPD, cystic fibrosis, etc.). It can be used to nebulize any type of medication indicated for nebulization.

The AEROSONIC+ (or AOHBOX+) pneumatic sonic nebulization system can be used to treat both bronchopulmonary conditions and ENT-rhinosinusitis conditions (rhinosinusitis, sinusitis, laryngitis) thanks to the two modes available on the switch (Classic or Sonic). In Sonic mode, the device emits alternating sound vibrations that allow the aerosol to be delivered to the sinuses.

The MANOSONIC (or AMSA) pneumatic nebulization system is used to treat ENT and tubotympanic conditions (serous or seromucous otitis media, tubotympanic sequelae). Its technology, which combines aerosol production, the emission of sound vibrations, and the application of temporary positive pressure, allows the aerosols to penetrate the Eustachian tube.
